Are pets allowed to the campsite?
Yes, pets are very welcome. They must be registered in advance at the reception.

Are there swimming facilities for dogs?
Yes, there is a swimming lake on Nijslootsweg near Gieten where dogs are allowed to swim. This is about a 20 minute walk from the campsite. The beaches and water of recreational lakes ‘t Nije Hemelriek and Gasselterveld are off limits to dogs.

Is there a restaurant on the campsite?
In the spring of 2021, we opened Koerscafé Gasselte on the campsite. You can go here for coffee, lunch and drinks.

Can my car remain at the camping pitch?
Yes, a maximum of 1 car may remain on site per camping pitch. There is space for extra cars in the parking lot outside the barrier.

Can someone come and stay?
Guests are very welcome. They must report to reception in advance. The overnight rate for a lodge is € 4.10 per night. This includes the tourism tax.

Is long-term rental possible?
No, you may stay a maximum of 3 weeks in all rental accommodations, including private individuals.

Can we have a barbecue?
Barbecuing is allowed, provided the barbecue is at least 30 centimeters from the ground and there is a bucket of sand or water nearby. In extreme drought it may happen that a barbecue ban is introduced, this will be announced at the reception and on our camping app. Fire baskets and open fires are not allowed.

What time can we arrive and at what time do we have to leave?
Are you coming camping? Then you can arrive from 1 p.m. and you must leave on the last day before noon (12 p.m.). Are you renting an accommodation? Then you are welcome to check in from 3 p.m. and you must leave the accommodation before 10 a.m. 

Is it possible to arrive earlier or to leave later?
An early arrival or late check-out cannot be booked in advance, but you can always call in the morning to see if the camping pitch or accommodation is already available. If so, you are welcome to arrive earlier. You can also inquire about the availability of a Lazy Day the day before departure. Hereby we keep the place reserved for you until 6 p.m. The costs for this are € 12.50.

Can I also check in outside of reception opening hours?
Yes, this is not a problem. If you arrive after the closing time of the reception, please let us know in advance (by email or phone). We will make sure your welcome package is ready at the snack bar, or come to you when you arrive. Upon arrival, please call 0599 - 564 333.

Can I indicate a preference for a camping spot or accommodation?
It is always possible to indicate a preference when booking. We try our best to accommodate all preferences, but cannot guarantee this.

Can I cancel my holiday?
In the unlikely event that you have to cancel your holiday, we will apply the general terms and conditions as drawn up by the RECRON. Different conditions apply to camping than to renting. Click here to read the terms and conditions.
