Boredom is not an option at de Lente van Drenthe. Throughout the season you can play indoors in our Kids Boulderhal race over the outdoor pump track. From May you can splash in our outdoor swimming pool and you can take a leap off the ramps at DX Adventurepark. During all school holidays the recreation team is ready with a packed activities program. Curious for even more adventure? Then read on.
What can you do at the campsite?
Sports and playing field
From the spring of 2021 there will be a new sports and playing field next to the swimming pool for endless fun. Swing on the zipline, stunt on the pump track and kick a ball around in the football cage. It is GAME ON for young and old. Whether you prefer to make a smash on the beach volleyball court or play jeu des boules, we don't care: as long as you are on the move!
DX Adventurepark
A 10 minute walk will take you from the campsite to our water park DX Adventurepark, on the banks of the swimming lake Gasselterveld. Take a jump from the ramps, launch someone on the blob or rent a SUP for a relaxing trip on the lake. Are you at the campsite for at least 5 nights? Then you can go to the aqua park for free and you get a discount on the jumps and SUPs. Reservations for DX Adventurepark can be made in advance at the Koerscafé. Kids Boulderhal
From the spring of 2021, you will find our Kids Boulderhal in the back part of the Koerscafé! From the cafe you walk into the boulderhal. But what is bouldering? Bouldering is climbing short routes on low blocks or walls. You climb without ropes, but stay low to the ground. There are thick mats on the floor for a soft landing. The boulderhal has a maximum climbing height of 2.5 meters and is therefore suitable for children up to about 11 years old. Always report to the counter of the Koerscafé before climbing.
Beach and pool
One minute you lie on your air mattress in your tent, and 5 minutes later you float on the clear blue water of the Gasselterveld. With the recreational lakes Nije Hemelriek and Gasselterveld around the corner, camping De Lente van Drenthe is the ultimate destination for water lovers. Prefer no sand between your toes? Then go for a splash in our outdoor swimming pool. We have a 1.40 m deep pool and a kiddie pool. You can relax on the sunbathing lawn around the pools.
Pump track
Newly opened; our pumptrack! A pump track is a circuit with bumps and curves, which follow each other rhythmically. A cross between a BMX track and a skate park. The track is suitable for cross bikes, mountain bikes, stunt scooters and skateboards. It is a cool and challenging playground for children and adults who love action. Helmets and stunt scooters can be rented at the Koerscafé.
